Knowing what you want can be half the battle in life. I will help you to get clear about what you would like to achieve from coaching (if you are not already clear). On an on-going basis, coaching will help you to get and stay clear about your goals and the direction you would like to head in.
Accountability is a powerful tool for creating change and we all benefit from being accountable to what we want in life. When engaged in the life coaching process, you will work with your coach to create goals to achieve between sessions. Coaching is very much a joint journey and as your life coach, I don’t give you advice or tell you what to do; together we will create goals for you that will be realistic and achievable and importantly, inspiring to you. The goals should be your goals and owned by you. If for some reason you are not able to achieve that goal, you will work with us in the next session to see what stopped you and help you to move forward again. The simple act of telling someone else what you intend to do can make a huge difference in the desire to achieve it. If you find that you are putting something off week after week, it is much more obvious in the coaching scenario and gets dealt with quicker than you may do by yourself. This means that you can either get to the bottom of why you have not achieved the goal or decide to leave it to one side if you realize it no longer inspires you.
Friends and family can be a great source of support, but sometimes unbiased input can make a big difference to your perspective and help you to see things about yourself and your life situation differently. We often hear things better from an outsider than from people to close to the situation or us and hearing the same message from someone outside of your situation can be helpful.

What to expect during a NLP coaching session
During a coaching session using NLP techniques, you should expect that upon arriving at the session I will first make sure you feel comfortable and at ease. Normally we would spend about ten minutes gathering some information about the challenges you are experiencing. There may also be times we spend in gathering some personal history; this may also be around ten minutes.
Once we have identified some unresourceful states and challenges you are experiencing, we would move onto identifying the desired outcome you want. You will then learn some NLP techniques which we will progressively build upon. These NLP techniques once learned will help you make changes quite rapidly.
Depending on your situation we may spend some time clearing any negative emotions and emotional blocks that may prevent you from achieving your desired outcome. We may spend a complete session neutralizing and clearing out negative emotions before we move on to achieving your desired outcome.
There is no one size fits all; you are a unique and special person, and each session is shaped according to your specific requirements. There may also be times that specific situations will allow for rapid change and others may take a little longer to achieve. This is completely normal and should be viewed as opportunities for choice expansion and the acquisition of new coping skills.
Each session will end with clearly defined action steps that we will follow up on and build upon with each session.
NLP Session Characteristics
What makes NLP unlike other forms of therapy is you will not have to divulge or discus any painful secrets or behaviors. You only tell me what you feel comfortable with. Only a short period of time is spent discussing your challenges and formulating your desired outcomes. So you can expect to experience change within each coaching session. You should always be comfortable and at ease during these sessions, they should not tire you. The majority of people would need 1 to 10, sixty to ninety minute coaching sessions depending on their needs.
Most importantly you will experience immediate change and shifts in your mind as well as in your body. The coaching sessions are also very cost effective.
